Then and Now

I love military aircraft from fighters to bombers and everything in between. Here’s a little look at how much things have changed.

New York City

Downtown New York City from Brooklyn, pre-9/11 Not a very good scan, because this was drawn in a small sketch book without detachable pages.

Chanel No. 5

A drawing of a Chanel No. 5 bottle. A special request by my wife.

The two best superheroes, one from DC and one from Marvel. The best is, of course, the Dark Knight, the Caped Crusader, the World’s Greatest Detective… the Bat-Man!

Speed sketching

Two sketches done in under 10 minutes. The first one is a bad copy of John Constable’s Salisbury Cathedral. It was done using nothing but a cheap Bic ballpoint pen.

The War

Some World War II related drawings. All of these drawings were done using as reference some of the incredible photographs in The Atlantic’s 20-part retrospective on the war. You can find it at I would really encourage you to check it out if you are at all interested in history.

Big Red

My wife wears a big red coat in the winter, and she has auburn red hair and she loves to drink Big Red. There could not be a more fitting nickname! 🙂

Some animals I drew. I think the horse turned out particularly well.

Just a place to post my drawings and doodles. Going to try to update often if I can get my scanner working. If not, it will be a weekly thing every Saturday or Sunday when I can get to the library to scan things. Enjoy the art!
